How often do you ride your bike

Happy Thanks Giving!

I used to wonder what it would be like if I had a way of knowing what was going on all the time, the things we could do, the places we'd see. Now I have it, nothing's changed. I have to think that I must like my life the way it is.  Happy Thanks Giving!

My new gig, my ride, and a shirt tour.

I start here at home and  ride 17 miles to here,...

or 12 miles to here.

On the way home it looks like this,...

and the sunset over the ghetto is still just as glorious as at a beach.

Proud Bob's mechanic in the Ross Brown shirt!

Bike lanes have pressure sensors to trip the lights too.

This whole photo series started in the spring and now it's fall.

First some sort of fruit that look like Berry Kix.

The colors this fall are crazy.

Here's another bike friendly light.

Some local dirt jumps along the way.

I can't tell you where because they end up getting plowed over.

And some views of the American River along the American River bike trail.

And so ends the Big Red 67's leg of the Ross Brown shirt tour.

So ends my first photo blog!

People for Bikes

I've signed,... have you?

Who We Are

We’re all united by a shared passion: bikes. Bikes keep us healthy, carry us from point A to point B, save us from high gas prices, and make our air cleaner and our roads less congested. Bikes fill our lives with adventure and excitement, relaxing our minds and energizing our souls.
Peopleforbikes.org is dedicated to channeling that passion to improve the future of bicycling. Our goal is to gather a million names of support, to speak with one, powerful voice—to make bicycling safer, more convenient and appealing for everyone.
Simply put, we believe that life is far more enjoyable when it’s experienced on two wheels. We believe that by coming together, we can make our world a better place to ride.

There’s nothing quite like the joy that comes from riding a bike. Whether it be on pavement, through dirt, or over rocks. Hopping on a bike is one of life’s simple pleasures. Bikes are a way to get around town, to relax, to have adventures, and to stay happy and healthy. And every time we pedal our way forward, we not only get to where we’re going, but we also show the rest of the world just how powerful human power really can be.

There are countless reasons to ride a bike. Here’s a few you might not know.
